Beorma Quarter
Birmingham City Council has granted planning permission for Trevor Horne Architects' Beorma Quarter skyscraper The £150 million scheme comprises three new buildings around a new public space including a 27-storey tower which 'responds to existing Birmingham landmarks', including the Rotunda and Selfridges, with 'its roof line and double height sky garden'. The mixed-use development will create 60,231sqm of accommodation, much of which will be BREEAM Excellent rated offices. The refurbishment of a Grade-II listed Cold Store and the retention of locally listed facades are also part of the scheme.
